How to install Electric Geyser

  Installation

• Always get your electric geyser installed by a licensed electrician.
• Make sure that the wall or platform that you are mounting has strong to support the geyser’s weight.
• Never connect the geyser to extension cords or multi-plugs.
• Make sure there is a good earth (ground) connection.

 Electrical Safety

• Install an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) / Residual Current Device (RCD).  It helps to cut the power if there’s a leakage.
• Unplug the geyser or switch off main supply when doing maintenance.
• In rainy season, During thunderstorm, Do not use it, just switch OFF your geyser if earthing is doubtful
• Do NOT turn ON geyser without water

 Water & Heat Safety

• Never touch the geyser or mixer taps with wet hands while the geyser is on.
• Do not use water immediately, instead of using immediately, leave it to sattele in temperature.

 Maintenance & Inspection

• Check for leaks:  If water is dripping from the bottom of the geyser, it might be the couse of faulty valve.
• You have to clean or if necessary replace heating elements and thermostats.

When to call technician

If you see rust, bulging, or sounds like banging/rumbling, these are signs of sediment buildup or tank issues.

 Avoid Common Hazards

• Do not cover the geyser with cloths or any other materials because it needs ventilation.
• Do not place the geyser near flammable materials.
• Do not try to repair electrical parts yourself .

Power & Load Management

• Geysers consume significant electricity; consider using them during off-peak hours if you have load-shedding or an electricity tariff plan.
• If you have a solar inverter / UPS, ensure the geyser’s wattage is supported before connecting.
